Contacting the homebound and sick at their homes helps to get acquainted with them and their needs. Compassion and comfort is offered by the Eucharistic Minister who brings the Eucharist to them on a weekly basis. As Christ always reached out to those who needed his healing presence, his work continues through this ministry.
The Eucharistic Minister is a vital link between the Parish community and the homebound by sharing the parish news, the bulletin and praying for the sick and well being of the parish. The Phone Ministry can reduce the sense of isolation and helps the homebound feel a sense of belonging to their faith community.
The homebound are invited to a special Mass with anointing celebrated three times a year, followed by a luncheon. Those interested may call our Parish Office at (727) 869-3130.
|Other resources include the Outreach program who helps those in need of non-medical assistance, rides to the doctor and shopping. Home Instead Senior Care is an agency that can facilitate all needs. They may be contacted at (727) 845-5813.|
